One common mistake when laying laminate flooring is not properly preparing the subfloor. It is important to ensure the subfloor is clean, level, and dry before installation. Another mistake is not allowing the laminate planks to acclimate to the room's temperature and humidity before installation, which can lead to buckling or gaps. Additionally, not leaving enough expansion space around the edges of the room can cause the flooring to buckle as well. **

If the flooring dealer has sent you the wrong flooring, the first step is to contact the dealer and inform them of the mistake. It's important to keep all communication documented and to review the dealer's return and exchange policy to understand your options and rights as a customer.
